Welcome to Micro Bedroom

Micro Bedroom stands out as a remarkable hostel experience nestled in Tacoma, Washington. Boasting an impressive 4.8-star rating, this brand redefines what travelers can expect from communal living spaces. Located at 2367 Tacoma Ave S #213, it offers more than just a bed — it presents a welcoming sanctuary for both short stays and extended transitions.

The carefully remodeled interior reveals a keen attention to detail that goes beyond basic hospitality. Guests consistently praise the thoughtful touches: privacy curtains that block light and sound, comfortable blankets, organizational bins, and even free locker locks. These elements showcase the owners’ commitment to merging practicality with comfort, fostering a space where privacy and community coexist gracefully.

One of the most striking features is the warm, personalized welcome — a gift box containing essential toiletries and a towel awaits every guest upon arrival. This simple yet profound gesture immediately eases the fatigue of travel, creating an inviting, homey atmosphere. The host, Abibah, emerges as a pillar of the experience, effortlessly balancing organization with genuine care, which resonates deeply with visitors new and old alike.

Community is integral to the Micro Bedroom ethos. The 7-day minimum stay encourages meaningful connections, allowing friendships to blossom over shared meals and social moments while respecting solitude when desired. Travelers find this blend rare in hostels, lending the place an authentic, lived-in feel that contrasts sharply with transient, impersonal alternatives.

While the exterior spaces might benefit from a bit of sprucing up, the vibrant nearby neighborhoods, including Downtown Tacoma’s museums, Pantages Theater, and Chihuly glass displays, ensure guests have ample cultural adventures at their doorstep. For those seeking a safe, modern, and thoughtfully curated home base, Micro Bedroom delivers on all fronts.

Ultimately, Micro Bedroom is more than a hostel; it’s a community-driven refuge that transforms simple stays into meaningful experiences. Its sleek design, high-quality amenities, and heartfelt hospitality combine to create a sanctuary that guests leave feeling refreshed, connected, and genuinely cared for.

I always heard hostels were a bit sketchy, and my experience at HiddenSound so far has been anything but. I arrival in the evening after a twenty-eight hour train ride and all I wanted was a shower and a bed, so it was a pleasant surprise to find a box with toiletries and a towel waiting on my bunk bed for me. Abibah has made my stay very comfortable. He's very organized and thorough and always there to help.

Just like any other hostel, you're not going to have too much privacy, but the curtain around the bed work very well to block out sound and light and the community here is social if you want it and will be fine if you're quiet yourself. The host is prompt and knowledgeable about the property, and the provided care package is perfect for travelers that forgot anything.

The hostel itself is quite nice on the inside, as the house has bee remodeled. You can tell the owners paid attention to a lot of little details (organization bins, comfortable blanket, free lock for lockers, privacy curtain on bed, etc) though the outside grounds could use some sprucing up. I stayed here for one night, though it appears that most guests stay for extended periods of time, making it feel less like a backpackers hostel and more like a communal house. If I were ever to stay in Tacoma again, I would return to Hidden sound. It's a great value.

I am so happy to have found this place. I just moved to Washington from out of state. Staying here has helped me transition to my new home. The staff is wonderful. The residents are friendly. We often have community meals together. Also, the host is amazing, he really makes you feel welcomed and cared for. I have stayed at other hostels in the past but now I feel spoilt.

There is some unique experience in this hostel, for example when you arrive there is a nice surprise waiting for you in your bed, it was a nice surprise. This hostel is not really in a very tourist spot so the people staying there are not the same as the usual European hostel but everyone is nice and it’s private and safe. They have good utilities in the house for you to use. Also very cheap for the area it’s worthy to stay for a few days.

The best part of the experience here at Hidden sound hostel was the moment I step into my room. The presentation on how the bunk beds are made was just amazing. I found a wrapped box of goodies on my bed. The box was full of things I needed to use during my stay here. The bunk beds are the most private bed I have ever seen. The place is not that big which is good coz nothing is crowded. The place it’s self and the neighborhood is just quite. Oh and they have the coolest microwave ever

If you’re looking for a respectable hostel in the Seattle area, you’ve found it. This is a home away from home and everything is well thought out. The 7 day minimum creates a cool community vibe and keeps this place pretty unique. I’ve stayed in hostels throughout the world I can undoubtedly say this is one of the best hostels out there. It’s clean, safe, comfortable, and convenient. Public transportation is a few blocks away with a straight shot into Seattle on the 594 bus. You can also catch public transportation into the Olympic peninsula or happening downtown Tacoma. There’s a spanking new gym, food, pharmacy, and convenient stores all within a 5 minute walk. This is a chilled place where a relaxing nights sleep is almost always certain. Well worth a visit.

This is a very sleek and modern hostel. The bathrooms are nicer than the ones I have at home, and the sleeping setup is very modern with curtains and lights. Very social environment too, probably because people aren’t coming and going so often. The 4 day minimum made me nervous initially but how I see how well it works. Fantastic place!
